Video: Tampa Bay Lightning Take 3-2 Lead Over Avalanche At 2nd Intermission

Nate Thompson Scores Pair To Give Lightning 3-2 Lead At Second Intermission

Nate Thompson scored a pair of second period goals to put the Bolts up 3-2 at the second intermission. He scored  the game tying goal at the 6:40 mark and put the Lightning ahead at the 17:37 mark to give the Bolts a 3-2 lead at the 2nd intermission.

The Lightning will play down a man for the first 32-seconds of the third period after Vladislav Namestnikov was called for interference after having his legs taken out by the Avalanche goalie.

The Lightning defense may have to play the third period without Radko Gudas who appears to have suffered a lower leg injury.

I am a fan of all sports but am most passionate about baseball. From the fanatical to analytical, nothing about the game escapes me. Being born and raised in Northeast Ohio I'm very familiar with the heartache and pain that sports can bring and hope that I bring some understanding of the other side to my coverage. I will focus mostly on baseball but also cover the Tampa Bay Lightning, one of the most electric franchises in all of sports. Always willing to converse about any sport and have only one rule and that is be respectful at all times.
