Tebow To Attend Jets’ Voluntary Workouts

That’s not a big surprise, but no one would blame Tebow if he decided to stay home: Voluntary workouts are voluntary, and if a player knows he’s not in a team’s plans, he’s free to skip them.

But Tebow would surely prefer to know as soon as possible what the Jets’ plans for him are, and so his planned attendance might help him in that effort: It could push the Jets to cut him in the next week, as they wouldn’t want to risk Tebow suffering some kind of fluke injury that put him out for the year, which would mean the Jets would be forced to put him on injured reserve and pay him his base salary.
