Stu Jackson To Interview For Pistons

As the search for a general manager continues for the Detroit Pistons, Chris Haynes of CSNNW reports they’ll interview Stu Jackson. New Pistons president Stan Van Gundy is also expected to interview former Magic GM Otis Smith, the leading candidate, as well as Spurs assistant general manager Scott Layden.

Jackson was general manager for the Vancouver Grizzlies, and considering they went 101-359 over six seasons before moving to Memphis, you can see why he’s on the job hunt again. He then worked as the NBA’s executive vice president for the next 13 years, until he steppped down last summer and Rod Thorn replaced him. He has worked as an analyst for NBA TV since December.
