Steelers will wear commemorative patch
It took the Pittsburgh Steelers 42 years to win an NFL championship. It came in 1974.
The Steelers have announced that the team will wear a patch to commemorate the victory in Super Bowl IX by wearing a patch on November 30 against the New Orleans Saints. The Steelers won that game in New Orleans, against the Minnesota Vikings at Tulane Stadium.
The Steelers will honor players from the ’74 team at halftime of the game against the Saints, which is set for 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX but could be pushed to prime time.
