Rob Blake Returns To Kings As Assistant GM

Rob Blake is officially returning to the Los Angeles Kings organization.

Blake spent the majority of his 20-year playing career with the team, and the Kings announced on Thursday that Blake has been hired as their new assistant general manager.

Blake, 43, will replace Ron Hextall, who left the team this week to take a similar position with the Philadelphia Flyers. Part of Blake’s new responsibilities with the Kings will be to serve as the general manager for their AHL team, the Manchester Monarchs.
