Red Sox Reportedly Re-Sign Mike Napoli

The Boston Red Sox have reportedly re-signed 1b/DH Mike Napoli to a 2-year $32-million dollar contract.

Mike_Napoli_2013 The agreement was first reported by Rob Bradford of WEEI.com (Twitter) and the terms were reported by CSN Northeast’s Sean McAdam (Twitter).

Napoli joined the Boston Red Sox prior to the 2013 season and appeared in 139 games (578 plate appearances) and posted a slash line of .259/.360/.482 with 23 home runs and 92 runs batted in.

The negotiations between the Red Sox and Napoli’s camp picked up steam after it was reported yesterday that he had an offer from another team that the Red Sox had to meet or match.
