ESPN Florida and News Talk Florida’s Intern Program is a hands-on opportunity for qualified applicants to build their work experience and learn the behind-the-scenes operations of a professional sports, news and over-the-air broadcasting company.
We are seeking writers for all types of disciplines.
All positions are virtual in nature, but will require applicants to attend select meetings, attend games and events as assigned and to work closely with a senior member of our news gathering team.
Interns will assist in preparing written reports, conducting interviews and assisting in the general preparation of news and editorial materials.
Scheduling is flexible, but most projects will require fast turnaround in a time sensitive environment, including late nights and weekends.
All applicants must be in good academic standing and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
To qualify, applicants must live in the state of Florida and have reliable internet connectivity, and possess a personal laptop or desktop computer.
This is a non- compensated role.
First, do not blindly submit… if you do not meet the criteria above, you will not be considered.
Equally if you are not prepared to work hard in this role, do not apply.
Here is what we are looking for…
– You will need to submit a current writing sample.
– We will be evaluating writing samples and setting up phone interviews.
