Pirates Win Challenge To Give Them Walk-Off 2-1 Victory Over Giants

With the scored between the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants tied at 1-1 with 2-outs in the bottom of the ninth Starling Marte sent a drive off the right field wall.

Marte hustled in to third with a triple and when the relay throw escaped third baseman Pablos Sandoval he raced home. Sandoval quickly retrieved the ball and fired to catcher Buster Posey who tagged Marte and home plate umpire Quinn Wolcott  called him out.

Pirates manager Clint Hurdle came out of the dugout to challenge the call and after review Marte was called safe to give the Pirates the walk-off victory.
