NBC Sports Network launches Premier League Saturday

Manchester United will get plenty of competition this season.

Saturday, August 17, NBC Sports Group kicks off the most ambitious, extensive and comprehensive coverage of the Premier League available anywhere in the world. Coverage begins at 7 AM ET on NBCSN with Premier League Live followed by the Liverpool v. Stoke City and continues throughout the season on the networks of NBCUniversal, on the Premier League Extra Time bonus TV package, and streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra.

Only 1 club, West Bromwich Albion, has ever avoided relegation after sitting in last place on Christmas. In what is known as the “Great Escape,” the Baggies were still in the basement entering the final day of the 2004-05 season, but a 2-0 win over Portsmouth allowed them to jump three spots into 17th place and avoid the drop to the second tier.

NBC Sports Group has launched an interactive game finder to provide fans with details on how to find Premier League games on TV, online and on mobile devices, each based upon where they live and their TV provider. The Premier League Game Finder can be accessed at http://www.nbcsports.com/ExtraTime.  In addition, the Premier League Game Finder will provide customer service contacts for participating TV providers to accommodate fans requesting further information.

All Premier League games will be streamed live on NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices and tablets. Games airing on NBC Sports Network will be live streamed via “TV Everywhere,” the media industry’s effort to make quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.

For desktops, NBC Sports Live Extra can be accessed at NBCSports.com/liveextra. The NBC Sports Live Extra app for mobile devices and tablets is available at the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and on select Android handset and tablet devices within Google Play store.
