Nolasco is said to be seeking a 5-year deal in the $80MM range. He reportedly has 4-year offers on the table from multiple teams, and while one of these teams might be crazy enough to give the 30-year old right-hander that fifth year, it seems like a 4-year deal is more likely at this point.
Nolasco went 13-11 with a 3.70 ERA and a 165/46 K/BB ratio in 199 1/3 innings for the Marlins and Dodgers in 2013. His 3.70 ERA last season is lower than that of any of the Twins starting pitchers.
The Twins are known to be seeking starting pitching this offseason. Will they sign Ricky Nolaso? Bronson Arroyo? Maybe Both? Crazier things have happened.
