Not content to simply come to Arizona for golf, Michael Phelps is making his return to competitive swimming here in less than two weeks.
The 22-time Olympic medalist was confirmed today as an entrant in the Arena Grand Prix in Mesa, April 24-26 at Skyline Aquatic Center.
Phelps is coming out of a retirement that began after the 2012 London Olympics, where he earned six medals to become the winningest Olympic medalist in any sport. The 28-year-old is starting on a comeback path that he hopes will take him to a fifth Olympics in 2016.
