There was a lot of back and forth play but only one puck found the back of the net.

The Lighting outshot the Sabres 12-6 but the only one that matters is the power play goal Tyler Johnson (assist to Valtteri Filppula and Matt Carle) delivered at the 12:48 mark.

The Lightning out-shot the Sabres 12-6 and killed one penalty in the first period while scoring on one of two power play opportunities.
