Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash did not play against the Orlando Magic on Sunday because of nerve root irritation in his right hamstring.
Nash tweaked his hamstring against the Washington Wizards on Friday in a 117-107 loss. It was Nash’s first game since February 11 against the Utah Jazz, the ailment that night was due to discomfort stemming from a collision to his left leg with Chicago’s Kirk Hinrich the previous game.
The 40-year-old Nash is the oldest active player in the NBA, and there are whispers the Lakers will give him one more shot next season.
