He has done it again, and this time he’ll savor it just a bit more since he’ll have his now-forever sweetheart at his side.
Just 30 minutes after proposing to his girlfriend onstage, Joey “Jaws” Chestnut downed 61 hot dogs to win the men’s division of Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest.

It was Chestnut’s eighth title at the annual Coney Island event. Matt Stonie came in second with 56 and Tim Janus finished third with 44. Prior to the contest, Chestnut did what any American sports hero would do — he came out in a CHARIOT.
Miki Sudo won the women’s title, upsetting reigning champion Sonya the “Black Widow” Thomas.
