The outstanding Florida State 34-31 win over Auburn to with the BCS Championship game is less than 24 hours old and the Seminoles are already being established the team to beat again in 2014. In large part it is because of the return of the defendin Heisman Trophy winner quarterback Jameis Winston.

Head coach Jimbo Fisher knows that now is the time to use that National Championship to continue to restore the FSU brand as one the premier names in college football.

The Seminoles will return a core of talent led by  RB Karlos Williams, WR Christian Green, WR Kermit Whitfield, RT Bobby Hart, DE Chris Casher, DE DeMarcus Walker, DE Eddie Goldman, DT Desmond Hollin, LB Terrance Smith, LB Reggie Northrup, LB E.J. Levenberry, LB Ukeme Eligwe, CB Ronald Darby, CB P.J. Williams, S Jalen Ramsey, S Nate Andrews, S Tyler Hunter, K Roberto Aguayo.

They have a number of talented juniors that could opt to head to the NFL Draft led byRB Devonta Freeman, RB James Wilder Jr., WR Rashad Greene, WR Kelvin Benjamin, TE Nick O’Leary, OT Cameron Erving, OG Josue Matias, OG Tre Jackson, DE Mario Edwards Jr., DT Timmy Jernigan. Some of those players on that list will return to Tallassee, but we are not yet sure which ones.

Regardless of who they lose FSU is very deep in talent and they will have another great recruiting headed their way the Noles will have depth. Schedule will have playing Notre Dame, Clemson, Florida and the open the season at Texas Stadium on August 30th against Oklahoma State. Road wise Miami and Louisville seem like their biggest foes.

However, the Cardinals will be far less fearless with Charlie Strong and Teddy Bridgewater gone from Louisville. So, with a weak ACC and a less than impressive overall schedule FSU will have no one to blame but themselves finish the season undefeated.

For those recruiting fans here are the ESPN rankings of the 2014 classes. Looks like another good one for FSU.
