A hamstring injury Vick suffered against the Giants on Sunday will keep him from starting in Week 6 against Tampa Bay, according to ESPN.com.
Eagles coach Chip Kelly wouldn’t confirm that Vick was definitely out, saying on Monday that no decision has been made yet on who the starting quarterback will be in Week 6.
With Vick out, Kelly and the Eagles will turn to second-year quarterback Nick Foles.
This will be Foles seventh start for the Eagles since being selected in the third-round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Foles is 1-5 in his career, but all six starts came under Andy Reid and he seems to be more comfortable in Kelly’s system.
