Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia has been fighting a sore wrist for the past ten days. It was so bad yesterday he couldn’t participate in hitting drills and he was later scratched from the lineup against the Yankees.
Today, he’s going to have it looked at in Boston. The Red Sox are off today and he’s expected to rejoin the team tomorrow. The Sox aren’t too concerned but Pedroia doesn’t hit too well when injured. He’s only hit .139 with two doubles and no walks.
