With Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester off the market and on his way to the A’s with Jonny Gomes, multiple people are speculating that a David Price trade looks much more probable.
Fox Sports’ Jon Morosi reports that there is a lot of action regarding the Rays and the trade talks have increased in the past twelve hours. He also names Ben Zobrist, Matt Joyce, Sean Rodriguez with Price.
One team that doesn’t look like it’s in the Price sweepstakes is the Dodgers, as Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports passes along. For the past week they have been named as one of the teams that was favored to land Price in a potential deal.
In fact, it is so anticipated now that as we were typing this up, another radio host in town tweeted that Ken Rosenthal says the Rays and Tigers are close to finalizing a deal for Price and Zobrist. Not so. Rosenthal retweeted it and said to block him.
