Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke Tuesday during the owner’s meetings in Arizona about the progress being made toward getting a new deal done with quarterback Tony Romo.
When asked if it was safe to say the Cowboys are closing in on a deal for Romo, Jones agreed.
“I’m okay with (saying) that,” Jones said, via Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Romo is set to enter the final year of his contract and is currently scheduled to count $16.8 million against the Cowboys salary cap this season.
