Christian Yelich Activated From Disabled List

According to Jose Frisaro, Marlins reporter for, the team has activated Christian Yelich from the disabled list:

Christian Yelich was originally placed on the disabled list on June 16 and was off to a pretty good start for the Marlins hitting atop the order.

In 63 games, he was hitting .259 with 6 HRs, 24 RBIs, 10 stolen bases and 41 runs scored.

Upon his return to the starting lineup, Yelich should return to the leadoff spot and Jake Marisnick will be the odd man out, as he has been optioned to Triple-A.

In 13 games, Marisnick has hit just .170 and has a career .179 AVG across 53 games.

In corresponding moves, the team has also recalled Dan Jennings from Triple-A and optioned Anthony DeSclafani back to the minors.
