Darrelle Revis has signed a six-year deal to become the newest member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a move that finalizes a trade with the New York Jets.
The Bucs will trade a first-round pick in 2013 and a conditional pick in the third or fourth round of the 2014 draft. The fourth-round pick becomes a third-round selection if Revis is on the Bucs’ roster on the third day of the 2014 league year.
The Bucs were slated to pick 13th overall in this year’s draft, which begins Thursday.
Revis’ contract is worth a reported $16 million per year and includes no guaranteed money, according to multiple reports.
Revis arrived in Tampa late Sunday afternoon and met with head coach Greg Schiano. He underwent a physical before the deal was made official.
