Cleveland Browns coach Mike Pettine shot down a report Monday that the team originally had Teddy Bridgewater’s name on its draft card and switched it to Johnny Manziel in the final 10 seconds.
“I heard that story too, and it’s beyond laughable,” Pettine said of an ESPN Cleveland report while at the Browns Foundation golf outing in Aurora, Ohio.
Pettine also said Manziel was in the conversation at No. 4, the only quarterback the Browns considered with their top pick.
