Bengals’ Try To Adapt Without Geno Atkins

CINCINNATI (AP) — Geno Atkins was in the Bengals locker room briefly on Wednesday, moving slowly on crutches, but declined to answer questions about his torn knee ligament as he headed home… still too painful to discuss?

The Bengals (6-3) are trying to adapt without their best defensive lineman in an effort to maintain their lead in the AFC North Atkins, an All-Pro tackle last season, currently leads the team with six sacks.

The team will move other linemen around to try to shore up the middle of the line against Baltimore (3-5) on Sunday, and it might be this way for the rest of the season as Cincinnati tries to overcome significant losses on their team’s defense en route to winning their first division title since 2009.
