Bears Want Titans TE Jared Cook

Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Jared Cook is expected to draw interest from the Bears, who could use another weapon in their passing game after a 2012 season in which Brandon Marshall caught 118 passes but no one else even managed 45 catches.

Kellen Davis has been the Bears’ starting tight end for the last two seasons but has just 229 and 206 receiving yards in the last two seasons. Cook, who had 523 receiving yards last year and 759 in 2011, would be a significant upgrade over Davis.

Although the Titans are expected to make an offer to keep Cook, he’s likely to get a bigger offer somewhere else. That “somewhere” may be Chicago.
