He immediately grabbed his hand a fell to the ground. He remained on the ground, outside the batter’s box for several minutes and had his hand examined by head athletic trainer Kevin Rand. He talked to manager Jim Leyland for a few minutes before exiting the game.

The Tigers later announced that X-rays were negative and listed him day-to-day.

Acquired by the Tigers at the non-waiver trade deadline, Iglesias leads all rookies in the American League with a .310 batting average and 31 multi-hit games.
