Chris Archer’s Strong Performance Leads Rays To Victory

The Tampa Bay Rays earned a series split with the Toronto Blue Jays behind a solid 6 inning performance by Chris Archer who only gave up two runs while striking out seven. The Rays led 4-2 heading to the bottom of the seventh when Evan Longoria landed the knockout punch launching a 3-run homer off Jays reliever Esmil Rogers. The homer was Longoria’s 163rd career homer tying him with Carlos Pena for most homers in franchise history.
