Red Sox’s Buchholz Will Play In World Series

Red_Sox_Clay_Buchholz_2013The Boston Red Sox finalized their 25-man World Series roster Wednesday morning, and not only does it remain unchanged, it does not fuel any speculation about the status of starter Clay Buchholz.

Red Sox manager John Farrell curiously did not name Buchholz as his Game 3 starter, saying Tuesday only that he anticipated both Buchholz and Jake Peavy would make starts in St. Louis over the weekend.

Farrell also said that there were no injury concerns about Buchholz.

Buchholz missed three months of the regular season with a neck issue, returned to make four starts in September and has made three postseason starts.
