Major League Baseball has placed strict restrictions when it comes to managers arguing calls with umpires with the implementation of replay. That said, watch what happened between New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi and home plate umpire Laz Diaz.
Girardi and his team were locked up in a tight game with the Los Angeles Angels in the 8th inning Monday night. The Yankees had the bases loaded with no outs. Outfielder Brett Gardner was at bat with a 1-0 count. Girardi didn’t like that Diaz called a strike on what he thought was a ball and came out to argue. Just watch what goes down.
Later in his post game press conference, he addressed what happened.
