George A. King III of the New York Post reports that Mark Teixeira won’t likely play in Spring Training games until March 3, at the earliest, due to a wrist injury.
His wrist is still tight, even though he says there is no pain and he hasn’t had any setbacks.
He said earlier this month that it could be June before that tightness disappears completely.
If he’s not productive this spring, the Yankees will have to be rely pretty heavily on only a small number of guys.
