You Count The Cardinals Out, You Pay For It

David FreeseCitizens of Cardinal Nation fret that their team will get overshadowed with the LA team hogging the limelight in the NLCS.

How can the Cardinals not earn adoration after sustaining their winning tradition with a small army of emerging young players learning from the masters of postseason play?

Maybe that’s why in games like this, winner-take-all games like Wednesday’s Game 5 of their Division Series against the Pirates, the Cardinals are so often the ones jumping around in the middle of the infield when it’s over.

The Cardinals have been “the better team” so often in so many big games in so many recent Octobers.

The more the baseball critics count the Cardinals out, the more the Cardinals’ urge to winning becomes apparent.
