Sunday Notes: Rangers Place Adrian Beltre On 15-Day DL

Mike Axisa of CBS Sports writes that the Texas Rangers have placed third baseman Adrian Beltre on the 15-day DL with a left quad injury, the team announced. The move is retroactive to April 9.

Beltre, 35, has been nursing the quad problem for a few days now and has not played since Tuesday. He also missed a few days with the issue in spring training.

In eight games this season, Beltre has gone 8-for-28 (.286) with three doubles and four runs driven in. He also more walks (five) than strikeouts (two).

Righty Hector Noesi, who was acquired from the Mariners on Saturday, was added to the roster to replace Beltre.
