The New York Yankees will unveil their $155 million Japanese import, Masahiro Tanaka, on Wednesday night when they conclude their three-game series with the Baltimore Orioles.
The 25-year-old right-hander allowed three runs in the first two innings against the Toronto Blue Jays last Friday night, but eventually settled in, giving up just two earned over seven frames, with eight strikeouts and no walks in the Yankees’ 7-3 victory.
“I always tell this to you guys, but for me, it’s all about the mechanics of how I pitch,” Tanaka said. “That said, I know what I need to fix.”
