Sunday Notes: White Sox’ RHP Scott Carroll To Make MLB Debut

According to MLB Roster Moves, the Chicago White Sox have purchased the contract of right-hander Scott Carroll from Triple-A Charlotte. The team has transferred OF Avisail Garcia to the 60-day disabled list in a corresponding move.

Carroll, 29, will make his major league debut and get the start in today’s game against the Rays. Across 8 minor league seasons, Carroll owns a career 3.95 ERA in 639 2/3 innings.

Garcia, will be out for the season anyway after having season-ending surgery for a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
