Outfielder Michael Bourn is out of the Indians’ lineup today and the team has recalled Nyjer Morgan from Triple-A Columbus.
Morgan is playing center field and batting leadoff against the Chicago White Sox in place of Bourn, who left Saturday’s game because of a tight left hamstring, an injury that has lingered for several months. Bourn had surgery on his hamstring in October, but re-injured it in spring training, forcing him to begin the season on the disabled list.
The Indians optioned left-hander Nick Hagadone to Columbus to make room on the 25-man roster.
