Mariners To Sign Corey Hart

The Mariners will sign Corey Hart to a one-year deal, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports:

The Mariners were known to be looking for a right-handed hitting complement for Robinson Cano, whom they have agreed in principle to sign for 10 years and $240MM, and they’ve found their man at a much cheaper price tag than what another outfielder they were rumored to be interested in might get, Nelson Cruz. Hart missed all of the 2013 season but has been one of the better right-handed power hitters in the game as of late as from 2010-2012 he averaged 29 HR’s and and 83 RBI’s. He also owns a career .276/.334/.491 triple-slash line.
