In 14 seasons in the big leagues Jose Molina only has 544 hits. Of course, the majority of his career has been spent as a backup catcher but the number still caught me off guard as on the low side of what I would have expected.

With his single in the 2nd inning off Angels starter Jerome Williams he tied his single season high of 58 hits set back with the New York Yankees in 2008 and puts him one hit ahead of his 2012 hit total of 57.
