ICYMI: Cole Hamels Collects 100th Career Victory

It’s only fitting that Phillies starter Cole Hamels would achieve a career milestone against the team he debuted against way back in 2006.

He did just that Saturday, as he collected his 100th career victory in the big leagues while holding the Reds to one run over seven innings with ten strikouts, three hits and two walks allowed.

It was about time Hamels picked up the win, as this was his seventh attempt at the feat, having earned three losses and three no-decisions dating back to September 20 last season.

He joins Steve Carlton, Robin Roberts, Pete Alexander, Chris Short, Curt Simmons, and Curt Schilling as the only Phillies to have reached this milestone.
