ICYMI: Albert Pujols Homers Twice, Ties Eddie Murray

Right when it seemed like the Angles had made a huge mistake signing Albert Pujols to a ten year contract, right when it seemed like Pujols was slowing down in his old age, he has turned it around in 2014.

Pujols, 34, is hitting .269 with 12 home runs, 29 RBI’s, and a .537 SLG% through 43 games so far this season.

His 11th and 12th home runs came against the Rays, and their ace left-hander David Price, on Sunday and tied him with Eddie Murray for 25th all-time on the home run list.

Pujols no longer looks like a threat to top Barry Bonds all-time leading 762 career home runs, but he has 504 at the age of 34 and will still easily make it into Cooperstown, something Bonds might never accomplish.
