In South Florida, Opening Day will feature the Miami Marlins against the Colorado Rockies at Marlins Park and a Hall of Fame QB will kick off the festivities.
Dan Marino will throw out the ceremonial first pitch as part of the pregame festivities Monday night. The Miami Dolphins‘ quarterback was a fourth-round draft pick of the Kansas City Royals out of high school. But he decided to play football at the University of Pittsburgh, before playing for the Dolphins.
KC from KC and the Sunshine Band will be singing the national anthem and fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks show.
