Braves’ Tommy Hanson Has Mild Concussion

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Tommy Hanson has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 mild concussion and will miss the first two days of spring training according  to manager Freddi Gonzalez.

Hanson blew out his tire near the Braves’ Disney World complex on Monday and bumped his head on either the windshield or the steering wheel. Hanson should be back at full strength within a week if there are no setbacks.

Hanson went 11-7 with a 3.60 ERA last season before being shut down on August 6 with a partially torn rotator cuff.
