MLB To Review Torii Hunter Incident
Major League Baseball will review an incident in the Detroit Tigers, Baltimore Orioles game Monday night in which third-base umpire Paul Nauert put his hand on the face of Torii Hunter during a benches-clearing affair, according to the Detroit News. Players are suspended when they touch umpires, so players don’t appreciate when umpires touch them.

Hunter also didn’t appreciate a pitch from Bud Norris that hit him near his groin. The two exchanged words, benches cleared and teammates acted as peacemakers, specifically Miguel Cabrera. Norris was ejected and peace was quickly restored.
“That’s my guy,” Hunter said of Nauert, via the paper. “He was trying to cover my mouth. I’ve known him too long (to be upset). He was just saying to me, ‘C’mon, T. You’re way better than that.’ And he’s right.
“I apologize to the fans for my reaction.”
