Mike Williams Thinks Bucs Made a Mistake
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded away Mike Williams after some questionable behavior. Now that Williams is in Buffalo, he's speaking out about his leave.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Williams wants to prove that Tampa made the wrong decision.
"I'm going to go out and prove they made a mistake and this is a great decision for theBuffalo Bills."
It seems, though, that this trade actually works out in favor of Williams, who has a young son in Buffalo and used to live there. He grew up in the area and played for Syracuse. So, why is he so upset to be home?
The Bucs claim that it was his off-field behavior that led to their decision, just one year after Williams signed a 6-year deal worth $40.5 million.
From the recent stabbing by his brother, to several other problems with the law, Tampa Bay just didn't feel that Williams fit in with Lovie Smith's new goals and overall style. Williams claims that some of these reported allegations are not true.
But, he does realize that he has some maturing to do. Even though he doesn't agree with the Bucs' decision to let him go, he says that he does realize how important it is to plan for the future. He wants to provide for his family and his son.
Williams plans to make the best of his time in Buffalo and hopefully he'll do some growing up there, as well.
