Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace caused a minor conflagration after Week One when he expressed some dissatisfaction with the amount of passes thrown in his direction during a victory over the Browns, but things quieted down when he posted a big game to help beat the Colts.
Wallace has caught five passes over the last two weeks, though, and the biggest gain on those passes has been a 12-yarder against the Falcons. His longest gain of the season is 34 yards and his average of 11.7 yards per catch would be the lowest of his career. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that Wallace was asked Tuesday if he wanted to have more deep balls thrown in his direction and answered “yeah” before Dolphins staffers intervened and said Wallace had talked enough for the day.
