Miguel Olivo Signed With Mexican League
Veteran catcher Miguel Olivo has found a new team after biting Triple-A teammate Alex Guerrero’s ear off. Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports that the 35-year-old has signed with the Tijuana Toros of the Mexican League.
Olivo was hitting .368 with a 1.013 OPS at Triple-A for the Dodgers when they released him and, if he hadn’t, ya know, bit a teammate’s ear off, he’d probably been called up already.
We can assume that his MLB career is over considering he hasn’t hit big-league numbers since 2010. Meanwhile, Guerrero is ready to resume his career after suffering that horrific ear incident.Miguel Olivo Signed With Mexican League by Sports Talk Florida
