Mets Would Prefer To Sign Wright And Dickey

Mets owner Fred Wilpon laid out his plan of action for pitcher R.A. Dickey and third baseman David Wright, according to Newsday’s Marc Carig.

The team has been insistent that signing both players to extensions has been the primary focus of the offseason, and that hasn’t changed. But if the team fails to sign Dickey and Wright, Wilpon would prefer both players play out their final season as Mets. Wilpon put trading both players at the bottom of his list.
