Matt Wieters Doesn’t Need Elbow Surgery
Baltimore Orioles catcher Matt Wieters does not need surgery for his elbow injury as initially feared, according to Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun. Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports says the injury involves his flexor mass, not the ulnar collateral ligament.
He was looked at by Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday and it was determined he doesn’t need surgery.
