— Smart, veteran defensive presence up front
— At 35, probably last season
— Don’t know if he alone paves way for more to come out in NBA

MICHAEL SAM

— Reminder that NFL a 12-month sport
— Draft isn’t until early May — 10 more weeks of this?

DALE EARNHARDT WINS DAYTONA 500
— Anyone more likeable in American sports?
— Simple good old boy, racing in father’s memory?
— Can’t put dome on Speedway, but long delay brutal
— Imagine six-hour delay at a Super Bowl?

DANICA PATRICK
— Tired of her act — Richard Petty is right, start winning
— The new Anna Kournikova, all sex appeal and no results
— Want to be treated on level playing field, start producing
— Wouldn’t advise Petty, at 75, to take her on in grudge match?

JIM BOEHEIM’S TANTRUM
— Picked bad time for his first-ever ejection
— If kept cool, Syracuse still may have won
— Now may lose No. 1 seed and easy path to Final Four
— Call was debatable, new interpretation of charging foul
— Florida worthy No. 1

— But Duke and Kansas still in picture
