Mancuso gets bronze in super combined
Julia Mancuso has built a reputation as a big-event racer and today she added to her amazing career at major ski championships.
Mancuso, 29, captured her fourth Olympic medal by taking the bronze in the women’s super-combined. The Squaw Valley, California resident won her medal on a day that was more Spring like than Winter Olympics with temperatures running on average about ten to as much as 15 degrees above the normal for this time of the year.
The weather aside for Mancuso this win was something special as an American female skier — not Lindsey Vonn (who is not competing here because of recent knee surgery), not former great Picabo Street— has more than two Olympic medals.
