Malone Expresses Frustration at Play, Being Scratched
Forward Ryan Malone has been scratched for the last four games and earlier this season was dropped to the fourth line.
He has only played in 45 games overall with a minus-5 rating and averaging 12 minutes of ice time. In his 45 games played he has only scored 5 goals and has 7 points overall.
In an interview with the Tampa Bay Times, Malone expressed his frustration.
“I ended up coming back (from the injury) and nothing seemed to really click,” he said. “It’s hard to get into games, wasn’t playing too much. It’s a new thing for me, so there was an adjustment period from sitting on the bench to jumping up there and playing. It’s just hard. No excuses. Obviously, I have to play better.”
