Orlando Magic’s Glen Davis went on Twitter Tuesday morning to apologize for throwing a keyboard at an Orlando motel over the weekend.
TMZ posted the video of Davis in a motel lobby throwing a keyboard after he was told they didn’t have any rooms available. The incident happened at a Travelodge in downtown Orlando Saturday morning at 4 a.m. According to TMZ, the police were called but no charges were filed.
Magic’s Head Coach Jacque Vaughn acknowledged the incident Tuesday morning and said they are dealing with the matter internally.
Davis has not played for the Magic this season as he is rehabbing his left foot. Davis broke his left foot against the Knicks on Jan. 30, 2013 and underwent surgery to insert a screw to stabilize and repair his fifth metatarsal on Feb. 1, 2013. He underwent surgery again to replace the same screw in early July. Davis has been practicing with the team but there’s no timetable for his return.
In regards to the incident that occurred on Friday night, I want to sincerely apologize for my actions. There is no excuse for what I did…
